Meet The Composer

Anne, Rob, Charlotte, Becky and Otto asked Tyndale about his work.

Why did you write this song? I wrote it to be uplifting because people are under a lot of pressure, whether it's homework, doing exams or things at home. Sometimes you feel the whole world is on your shoulders.

When did you start writing songs? When I was twelve.

How did you start? I'm from a church background and I've been in choirs since the age of six. We used to sing loads of songs and every week there would be a new song. This really inspired me to write about my own feelings and what was happening around me.

Do you have time to do anything else besides make music? Yes, I'm also a graphic designer and I do find time to do some illustrations, which is wonderful. It helps me to relax. I like drawing people in a semi-photographic way because people really interest me.

Are there any ways your graphics and your music come together? Yes, sometimes I do workshops in art galleries. We'll look at a painting and people tell me what they feel about it; on the spot we'll start making up a song.

Why do you enjoy singing? I enjoy singing because it touches every single human emotion. It's one of the ways that people can come together. For me music is very, very powerful because I have seen that it can be life-changing. Singing for me is life!
